Scratch Level 2 - Racing Game

A difficulty that I had while making my game was that when I was trying to create a countdown because while I was creating it I also wanted my car to freeze until the countdown reached zero but all it did was stay frozen forever. How did i fix it you ask? It was simple. I gave up. ಠ╭╮ಠ Question 2. Some changes that I made was the background, the course, and I also made my car change into an explosion and after two seconds it would change back to it's original form.
